Voice for the Stage

This class focuses on the use of the voice as it pertains to the live stage. The student will learn the anatomy of the vocal process, including musculature and its nomenclature. The student will learn the International Phonetic Alphabet. The student will master use of General American Speech (wherein no regionalism or dialect is discernable). The student will master the British dialect. Demonstrating a variety of vocal qualities, the student will focus on puppet voices and prepare a voiceover "reel" of professional quality.
